The house sparrow is found around our premises. It is a small bird in size. It is grey or dusty grey in colour. It is a very friendly bird. It keeps on flying around all the time. It makes the surroundings or atmosphere alive by its sweet twittering or chirping.

It is an important bird in our eco-cycle. We find sparrows in less number now a day. The sparrow is disappearing rapidly Their number is decreasing we do not allow the sparrows to build their nests in our premises they feel safe in our premises or houses but as we have built our houses in such a way that the sparrows cannot enter our houses because of the faulty designs of our residences, they can not enter into our houses.

 Moreover cats and other prey birds kill or hunt them for their food they actually feel safe in co-existence but we keep them away from our houses we should prepare nests for them we should provide shelter to sparrows we should feed them with grains and drinking water. We should co-operate in ‘Save Sparrow Campaign.’


The Nest-Building Procedure of Sughari.

It is found in grasslands and cultivated areas. This bird is a skillful weaver it is gifted with the wonderful skill of weaving its nest the weaver bird prefers long thread like grass leaves to build its nest.

The male weaver bird builds its nest when the nest is half completed, the male invites the female weaver bird for pairing if the female approves it they both together make a pair and complete the nest, if the female does not like or approve the nest it is abandoned or left half completed it is a beauty and wonder of nature its nest it quite safe It builds the nest at the end of the branches of a thorny trees like babool. The nest hangs upward down. It chirps very slowly and sweetly.
